MIG is farmer community driven and covers approximately 320,000 hectares within the Geraldton Port Zone. It is a positive and supportive environment where MIG constantly seek out insightful and stimulating research programs. We strive to share, adapt and create a space where farmers can openly come together to learn through information and education programs/workshops.

GRDC x GGA - RiskWi$e

The GRDC RiskWi$e initiative is a five-year project focused on deepening the understanding of on-farm risk decisions and supporting grain growers with practical strategies and tools to improve risk-reward decision making. Its goal is to empower growers to make more informed, confident decisions that maximise returns while managing potential downsides.

GRDC x GGA - Closing the Economic Yield Gap of Grain Legumes in WA - The Economics of Grain Legumes in a Double Break

Mingenew-Irwin Group (MIG), Greenough Speciality Ag (GSA), Three Springs Farm Innovation Network (3FIN), and Northern Agri Group (NAG) have identified a key opportunity to assess the economic viability of double-break cropping systems in the Northern Agricultural Region of WA.
The project aims to evaluate how a double-break system can improve profitability and sustainability, particularly in response to the significant weed pressure experienced in 2024
